and PYROCAST. Smith is a leader in the

​ pyrotechnics and fireworks industry. 

Scott Smith Saratoga Springs stems from a technical and computer science background.  Smith maintains a dual Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering and Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  With his early experience and expertise rooted in computer science, Smith was eager to create something big… something more expansive and adaptive than anything he could physically create.  Before even finishing his Bachelor’s degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Smith was already dipping his toes in the world of entrepreneurship.  While enrolled in his Bachelor’s degree program, the entrepreneur founded and launched Coresense, a multi-channel retail management system.  In 2011, ten years after establishing Coresense from the ground up, Scott Smith sold the company.  As of 2024, Coresense is a recognizable name in all-in-one Point of Sale, eCommerce and retail business management solutions. 
Scott Smith Saratoga Springs is a seasoned entrepreneur.  Although he’s based in Saratoga Springs, Smith’s entrepreneurship ventures expand far beyond the local area… and all across the sky in gorgeous pyrotechnic/fireworks displays!  At the helm of COBRA Firing Systems, IGNITE Firing Systems and PYROCAST as Founder and CEO, Smith stands as a leading expert in pyrotechnics and fireworks.  He is a proud Board Member of National Fireworks Association (NFA). 

Additionally, Scott Smith established Coresense; a retail management system which he sold in 2011.  Coresense continues to thrive to this day.
